it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Not sure of the PCD and offset of Volvo wheels like the 5 studs on my 240. Anyone know? What other manufacturers (if any) use the same so I can look out for some bigger OE wheels in the scrappy. Looking to fit 205's or slightly wider.

Good buy, I've been watching that one myself, it's bloody beautiful! I'd really love a 240 saloon/244 at the moment but I'm bloody skint, I'm actually in the middle of having to flog one of the Volvos as we speak.

It drives very well. Have to say, whilst it's good, it isn't immaculate. It's going to need repairs in both rear wheel wells, as well as minor cosmetics. It was worth it to me for the history, interior, way it drives etc though. Will be parked up and worked on over the winter, then back on the road next year. Just priced up lowering springs for it :-))

My two love riding in a slammed Volvo, and as for speed bumps, I just have to go really slowly. Still, that's my fault for taking 4 inches out the ride height........(Well, Rmads fault really, he was holding the grinder!). For an improved ride, finding some Turbo model anti roll bars is a good move, plus the strut tower to bulkhead struts. I've replaced all the rubbery bits in the suspension as well, just for standard equipment, that tightened it all up nicely.

Wagoneer- suggestions for good places for Volvo parts? May look at poly bushes also. (My kids like being out in the brown Allegro!!) ;D I like both of the above wheels (the blue Volvo with the Polaris rims is the reason I bought this 1!!!) Quite fancy steels though. Wouldn't mind something that would take 205/60 14's . Original rims are 5.5 wide, so about an inch or so to narrow really. Something like 7x14's would be ideal I recon.
