Hello from the states, heres my Starlet project.
Hope this is the right spot lol
Here goes, the car is a 1981 Toyota starlet
It is copper metallic (only made in 81)
Factory A/C (removed by PO)
The night I brought her home
(Sorry for the rubbish cell phone pic)
The car is gonna need some body work, but the only real rust to speak of is in the spare tire well !
The Previous owner "shaved" the bumper, which have since un-done
The car wanted to overheat after a few minutes of driving, so I decided to replace the water pump and thermostat. (A welded diff in a car with 60hp can be difficult lol)
When I drained the coolant, everything looked normal, but when I had the radiator out and took a good look at it I found it to be in less than the best condition
Top Hose Connection
Bottom
Well I was in no hurry so that took all day, it didn't help that I got distracted with my new seats
They should be a good replacement for the hagard OE seats
On friday I went to the junkyard and found a set of mint OE tail lights for my car (my PS one was all beat up), too bad I got there just after they had smashed the roof in and were getting ready to haul it off for scrap :.(
And yes, I put my arms through broken rear hatch glass to get them, THAT'S DEDICATION!
Put in work today....
And a shot of the turbos for good measure
Some of you may appreciate my garage, although my starlet is sleeping with the enemy lol...
my roomates project Audi
KRAUT!!!
BAM! do work bitches!
Gettin the head ready
Spark Plug Tubes...lol
flippin' RTV is everywhere in this female dog!
Found Some Interesting Marks on the head, looks like someone welded numbers onto the head.
Hope You guys like it.
