Does anybody watch it? I find it's getting worse each week, like the recent Mini 1000 they did, that the rapped in vinyl, despite the rust on the bonnet. Made me chuckle when Mike discounted a Mini because of it dropping a bit of oil, which he said meant 'serious mechanical problems'. Now I've owned over a dozen Minis and all but one dropped a bit of the black stuff.
Also, the buys at the end of each two-parter seem a bit false, like the Disco this week, bought by the guy who runs 'an adventure business'
Daft but I still watch it!

I've watched it since it started./Got it on series link!
You can't knock ed, he's a clever bloke!
It is a bit staged when the 'punter' buys the car at the end and sometimes the cars are a little dissapointing. 1st series was great with porsche 928, 924 merc 190 Cossie, Capri etc.
Nothing against Discoveries but an M reg one isn't exactly exiting!
Still, great show generally!

Utter rubbish from start to finish, awful often completely wrong buying advise from that moron Brewer and Ed cant seem to spanner his way out of a paper bag, remember all that work he did on the SJ only to find it was 'rotten beyond economical repair'.....HA!
I doubt they could spell 'competent' between them...
The buys at both ends are cringemakingly bad and sooo staged it's untrue, and they NEVER factor in all the costs, eg transport, MOT/Tax, consumables, and i've lost count how many times i've seen it roll out to the (worlds worst) sales pitch with new brake discs/claipers/tyres/exhaust without any mention of it being made in the costs..
I still watch it though! mind you it is for comedic value and to see how they mess it up this time..

I've watched it since it started./Got it on series link! You can't knock ed, he's a clever bloke! He's not a mechanic though, he's an artist. The early series listed that chap Paul as 'Mechanic' now he's a 'technical consultant' or something! I don't think Edd does much of the mechanical stuff at all.

I watch it sometimes, but I don't like much of the stuff they do, for example and the first mini that they did, they found that the door had a massive great dent that took out most of the door if i remember rightly, and all they did was use a load of filler. Would probably have been just as easy to just get a second hand door or re skin the one they already had.
As for the buyers at the end, its comical what they come up with sometimes, although on the second mini they did, I was there when they auctioned it off, seemed genuine enough.
Ah well, its something to watch when theres nothing else on!

yes, i'd say he was an arteest too brewer gets on my threp'neys - but its always worth watching for horrors that he buys - then once spolied by ed (they never add the labour costs either) - resold for a loss the lhd merc SL he re-sold without registering it in the UK the SJ that was rotten - but had a terrific roll cage at least the rot, rust and old shonky repairs I can relate too - but not the shows buying choices

I caught the end of one the other day. It was quite funny how everyone got so excited and even clapped when the woman bought a car. Wish that would happen here!

I like it. The scripted bits are cringable as they both having the acting skills of a Robot with a broom jammed up it's backside but my rule is "if it has cars in it then I shalt watch", well other than that classic gear on ITV14, which is unwatchable.
Having Zero mechanical skills or understanding I sometimes get an "ah, right that's how it works moment", which is good.
That S1 Porsche 928 they did was lovely.

I like it, just ignore the Bullplop and take it for what it is.
I do admit my mind imploded when the owner of an air cooled porsche recommended that a prospective buyer check the oil cap for mayo to check the head gasket hadn't gone.

I find it very hard to watch without wanting to put my foot through the TV. its just yet another car program that's aimed at people who know nothing about cars or are to stupid to spot the bull . in very much the same way as shows like the one with bernie and lepu in they are not very good shows to watch if you are actually interested in cars like most of the members here there are far better quality shows to watch . the only worrying bit is some morons will watch these low quality shows and then think they are experts

Words cannot begin to describe the drivel that erupts from their mouths.
Did anyone watch the LS400 one tonight? £4k for a J plate? Badly fitted Bluetooth and chavtastique xenons do not a good car make. "Works with any phone." "Wow,really?!" Bloke's a plank

I don't like seeing them laid into - Ed China seems a nice chap, Mike Brewer comes across as a bit of a Cockney gobshite wideboy, but I'm sure 99% of it is encouraged by the production company. End of the day, it's 80% drivel, but it's "average" cars on telly so it will do for me. I quite enjoy cringing at Ed painting the entire rear quarter of an MR2 with an aerosol.

Watched the 205 GTI one online the other day, found it kinda weird the way they replaced all the external trim just because it had gone grey, rather than heat-gunning/whatever-else it, wasting £240 in the process, then they spray painted an old parcel shelf rather than shelling out for a new one the right colour. haha. Also the suspension looked like it had something seriously wrong with it at the start, but they said they just raised the torsion bar and it fixed it, when it had clearly had more done to it.
6 minutes into the golf GTI episode and I'm already getting annoyed with how idiotic they are about some things. I'm actually getting quite curse word off with how much Bullplop he's coming out with.
