Just heard the sad news that Keith Duckworth has died. As half of the Cosworth engineering partnership I think he'll be remembered as one of the greatest ever engine designers ever a sad day

What a legend, anyone read the book about him, his inventions, and the work done by him at Cosworth? Fugging fantastic stroy, I love it.
My favourite bit is about him getting an avenger-BRM 16v cylinder head, having a feel around in the inlet ports with his fingertips, and proclaiming that the engine was a dud and that his own BDA head would blow it away (later proved right). LEGEND.

Very sad news The man was a legend. Fond memories of drooling over BDA and DFV engines in magazines as a kid
