not a race but this * The Honda rider was traveling at such a “very high speed”, his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. * Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (for the U.S. folks, that’s 155mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider’s reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn’t sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. * The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 3m (10 feet) from where the collision took place. * All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly

Whats even more amazing is that the crash appears to be indoors this is why I don't like Motorbikes, too quick and just too insane.

Yes, but its just the sort of thing that bikers and car drivers alike need to be shown - not just the old 'speed kills' thing, but that we need to look out for each other

yikes, i think 155mph should be reserved for the track. Thats only cos youve never done it ;D On a bike it feels a hell of a lot easier than in a car You can Cruise easily at 130-140 on most big bikes ;D Not in the UK of course

i saw these pics some time ago, certainly looks nasty. But when you're on two wheels you're all too aware of the risky position you are in. I agree with Dom, going quick on a bike is very different from going quick in a car.
In any case, he cant have been doing 155mph. Its an NC30, they top out at 125/130mph - i know, ive got one and ive tried! ;D

I've have my MC21 up around 155mph (250km/h) and it's only a 250, don't think the gearing would be that much different.. do the NC30's have ignition and gear limitations like the MC21's? I spliced my ECU to remove the restrictor and free up some power and hadn't got around to splicing the gear loom yet and still pulled that speed.

That's pretty scary...although I suspect it looked a lot messier than that, what with the bits of people and all!

samyboy in da house: not a race but this
Sadly that accident happened just around here were I live & work, the owner of the bike has been in our shop (don't know him but have been told this), it's always sad to see stuff like this, way to many riders that don't know ther limits. 250kph might be overkill (the Police like to do it up a bit to scare) but if he was doing 150kph or more on a 70kph stretch of road it's un-defendable, the worst part with these MC-Maniacs is that they tend to kill others that are just minding their own biz. I have a BIG problem with Ghostrider, although Patrik beeing somewhat of a "friend" I don't at all appreciate what he does, his movies have done alot to trigger certain types of Bikers. I have seen some crazy stuff when riding around, some have controll but most don't....
Don't get me started on this......

keefy in da house: you know the guy who is ghost rider?
Yes I know Patric, he's one of the most controversial in the bike/video biz here in Sweden, he has a reputation of beeing a bike theif, some strange biz has gone down with a bunch of his bikes and bikes around him. No he's not dead although during last summer when he competed in Super Bike road racing here in Sweden he had a bad accident and was paralyzed waist down for some days, he's now back on the bikes again and last time I saw him he had a slight limp so it's quite easy to see who's the Real Ghostrider and who's not in 3 & 4, some of the BMX & MiniMoto driving can't be him but most of the stuff is Patric...
Can't reall say I'm proud of knowing him, it's more like knowing of him, he has such a bad rap in the road racing community here in Sweden but me beeing an allaround "nice guy" I always say Hi and if talked to I answer in a nice polite way, my mom tought me that.....
