Yeah I've learnt that the best way is part throttle, but its a bit hard with a very small trigger.
I bought an AE86 but I haven't modded it yet. I did get a 240Z which looks like my 260Z now B)

i found that the quick upgades are prety good they can be a good way of getting started. Just bought a rabbit with only a few custom upgrades it will do 1/4 mile in 12ish seconds sadly its 4wd so it usualy looses to datsuns

I find it very weird that people interested in cars buy perviously made set-ups and quick upgrades and paintworks? Aren't those the things that sets games like this apart from all the other arcade-like racing "simulators"?
You wouldn't pay someone else to build your real life car like THEY like it would you?
I bet you all drive with driving assists on too. ;D

You left just as I was gonna get my main drift car (Silvia S14 for those interested) out! No matter, I'll race/drift with you another day. Nice job drifting your Monaro, my advice would be take a wider line into the corner to improve your corner speed and drift length. Try to take the out-in-out racing line, but sideways. Thats how I do it anyway.

I'd like to see that Beemer drift. I could never get mine to, so I gave up and built at least 15 drift cars, ranging from the obligatory AE86 to a Chevy Camaro IROC-Z with a 900bhp Nascar engine.
Currently rocking a Silvia S14 with 562bhp, the original tires ;D, and a Matt Powers Formula Drift replica paint.

Tim, the general 'rules' of the Forza community for drift cars are:
S class maximum 650hp maximum ^^ would these be why your BMW is uncontrollable? Don't use postive camber on the front wheels (the cardinal sin to a lot of the people I hang around with) No racing slicks
Rest of it - anything goes.
As for the Nurburgring times - 6:11.482 in my B class MX-5 (1st gen)

Tim - in that short little session we had on Tsukuba, I can tell you that you're not bad at this drifting malarkey.
If you worked on throttle control to stop the car spinning, and maybe decreased the deceleration setting on the diff, to give the illusion of less torque (again, to stop the car spinning), then your IS-F would be a good'un.
Also, give it a bit more speed into the corner! ;P and to slow the car down on the way into the drift, try not to hit the footbrake, try to just hold the handbrake on, because that slows you down, gives you the opportunity to build up some revs, and keeps the car sideways.
Conclusion - you're fairly good, just need a little bit of work to the car and technique.
