I used to have an mgb gt that I rebuilt and killed, and was wondering if it has happened to anybody else!! Photos will show the last lot of rebuild work mainly rust repair to drivers door and bonnet, note new alloys, and then how the car end up. I will let the photos do the talking. i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww280/chip83_01/m19.jpg[/IMG]i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww280/chip83_01/m18.jpg[/I'm i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww280/chip83_01/m22.jpg[/IMG]G]and finally completed polished and ready for some miles of fun All was well for about 8 months then one day trundling along a country lane near home back end let go on some standing water which resulted this is going to hurt moment, bank, tree and then facing tarmack. I was ok and on the plus side got to see how good the car was underneath with out crawling around on my back, photos show how strong she was. Insurance coffed, but divorce and life have got in the way of replacement. But I would do all again in a heart beat as I'm incuarble petrol head ;D

Citroen yellow surely I had this colour on a 1977 Dyane 6. Nice resto job, real shame about the incident, but you walked away, so result.

IIRC - CITRON - dude, but also sometimes called Citrus. I had EXACTLY that shade on my first ever ride - another MGB GT. Loved it....... They're built like tanks aren't they! Glad you walked from it - pity after all the work! NEXT

I killed a caravan, indirectly, if that counts ? I occasionally take a caravan to glastonbury, they used to be easy to get for free, but at the time I had nowhere to store them, so I'd get it the week before, then drop it off at the scrap yard the day after. (the renault is also long gone, weighed in a few years back) you're probably going to tell me is super rare and worth thousands now

never killed a car itself but have destroyed lots of parts mostly diffs and engines most notable engine destruction was this lunched it pulling out of a turning head of a valve let go mashed the piston which in turn launched the rod through the side of the block of a freshly built new bottom end on a 302ci mustang GT engine in my old 2 door mk3 cortina . the bitter pill in it was that the valves were the only old part on the engine

mines quite sadening. ... for me at least.. i love polos as yall know... i went for a ride one day and on the way home i found this red polo sat beside someones house (the next road over from mine) had never seen it before and kept tabs... a few months later it hadnt moved so i put a note thru the letterbox... she came and knocked on my door and offered me to come round for tea and a chat to her dad.. (who owned it) she was in her late 50's allready.. to cut a long story short... he was dieing of cancer... realy nice bloke as well we had a nice chat and he said hes had it since nearly new... full history, (Vw) loads of paperwork , the lot he wanted 400quid mot'd and taxed for a year... and i went and came back half hour later with the money... he handed it straight to his wife and said i wont be needing it made me want to cry... so i did my best to look after the car.... polished it, spent loads on making it spot on, and this happened outside the pod (yes i had lowered it) Can you guess how it happened? see front of mates golf...

I've only ever had one crash, and I bent the Benz by stuffing it into the back of a Corsa. No decent pics, just this one: The Corsa came off worse. ;D My girlfriend at the time did this, with me as a passenger... And the other car? There were better photos of it all over the internet, as it was bang outside the gates of aq car show we were just arriving at! Muggins here fixed it though... About a year later she crashed it again in a more spectacular fashion and wrote it off...
