Yoko's are ace for grip & handling but are very soft and will wear out a lot quicker than the Toyo's. I'd still say go for the T1r's - 25% cheaper than the Yokos and will last longer. You won't find a better tyre for the money. gotta agree with that really. i went for the yokos as i like the look of them and because they are soft they are also very quiet on motorway use toyos are a very good tire i think the yokos have the edge as far as outright grip goes but the toyos win for lasting longer yoko's look cooler though ;D

Goodyear Eagle F1's. AP Tyres in Rotherham will fit them for £8.00 each if you buy online. Thats good to know, is that balanced?

Something different to consider.... I haven't checked to see if they are on the listings but Fulda tyres are excellent, wet and dry grip is excellent throughout their range. Used to have them sent from Germany when I ordered my wheels (used to work for a certain now defunct mail order company). May be a couple quid more but.....
Conti's never last. But then they ARE grippy! Had sport contacts on my first caddy pick up years back and even skinny 165 45's were more than a match for a Golf shod with T1R's on nice windy A & B roads.
Only ever had Yoko A539's and didn't rate them in the wet (tbh, people moan about nankangs and I thought the A539's to be no better).

Your opinion is invalid, I've seen your wife.

Well, it looks like my first new tyre buying may be scuppered. A local place has part worns (not sure what make yet) and as funds are low it makes sense to get the PW's and spend whats left on the new CV joint it needs ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Next time .... Unless they have PW toyos ;D
