Was this the one on eBay recently?
It's rare as only 26 were sold in this country - so it must be one of the last.

Current vehicle collection: 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero convertible - in mid-life crisis yellow No new retro as yet ... all attempts to sneak one onto the drive have failed.

as far as I'm aware, daihatsu ordered 12 cars in the uk to be converted straight out of the factory, so techniacally not daihatsu but then again, its simalar to hartge's and alpina's as they are not built by bmw, i spoke to the gents at camskill and they told me they new of only 2 left, so unless some people have them in storeing then i guess i got one of the last 2, if there is more out there i would love to know. this is the most info i been able to track down. the other charade is or was on sale on piston heads aswell for much more money but less mileage, but i spect his turbo is knackered aswell just not choosing to mention it. apparantly turbos on these go every 20,000 miles, because they are so weak. oh and my car has a little black bonnet vent on it now which isnt in that picture and it is a little lower. the vent is small one above air filter, very much like the nissan micra super turbo style.

I like this car!! I know nothing about them though!! Looks like a right little screamer!
I remember my dad having a Charade in South Africa, i'm sure it was a 3-cylinder? What engine is in this?
What is the condition of the body like? Any areas likely to be dodgy in the near future?
I'm taking it from the description that the turbos are unabtainable? Is it possible to have them rebuilt somewhere? Or is it possible to fit different turbo's off something else? (i have zero experience of Turbo cars!)

its always possible to have turbos rebuilt and prices are fairly reasonable and also possible to upgrade to a bigger turbo should you feel the need
its a nipy little car and tom is a top bloke
