Looks great as it currently is, can't wait to see it with the wheels and spoiler.
Also, no disrespect intended, I don't know how the f*** you got out of that crash, I'm guessing that was a polo saloon? Got a feeling I saw this somewhere before too, maybe PPC, definitely seen that pic before. Good luck with the recovery!

It was a proper minter and there was no rust or rot anywhere. My ex was thrown clear, although still badly injured, but I survived due to the Cornwall Air Ambulance and the incredible surgeons, nurses etc at Truro's Treliske Hospital. I had some wonderful people look after me and I just refused to be beaten by my injuries. Hopefully, the spoiler will be here any day and I bought a pair of Engelmann mirrors to fit too.

Got these in ze post from Germany today. They were cheap because they had no fittings so the hunt is on, unless anyone has any other solutions/ideas? Not sure if I should paint body colour or leave black?

I know it pushed a stock 2.5 up to 250, so anything from 260 up I would hope.

Thanks bud. It's nice to get positive comments.
It's been a case of learning as I go and currently I'm looking into engine management so that I can lose the OE Motronic injection. Omex seems to fit the bill although none of them are exactly cheap are they? I need to maintain reliability, which is why I'm opting for a supercharger as opposed to a turbo or nitrous. Mind you, I also need to be aware that I'm going to be getting close to the limit of power that an e21 diff' is happy to handle.
At the moment, I am looking for someone who can bolt on the supercharger, install the new management and then do the mapping. If anyone has any suggestions / advice it would be much appreciated.

Well I've decided against the supercharger, for now anyway. In order to do it properly I really need mappable ignition and when I combine the cost of that with the cost of the supercharger it racks up well over three grand. As a result of my not being minted I've had to change my plans.
I'm going to have the current Motronic ignition and MAF replaced with a Dastec uni chip and live remap but the guy who's doing it, Paul Sheppard, is awaiting repairs to the dyno. Hopefully it can be done before April though as I plan to go to Spa & the Nurburgring for a track day event. So for now, I am awaiting that call to tell me the dyno is fixed!
I've also got some new BBS RM's to fit and replace the Panasport rims I'm running now. They still 15's but I've gone up from 7J to 8's on the front and 9's on the rear. I'm gonna be running a bit of tyre stretch too. On the road anyway. I plan to fit them tomorrow as right now they're sat in the lounge. I've been polishing them and traeting them with a product called ''Wheel Guard'' from a company called Spautopia. It's a clear liquid that dries and chrystalizes to form a clear coating that stops the alloy tarnishing and/or corroding. It's pretty amazing stuff and way better than rim wax etc. If you've got diamond cut alloys I'd suggest you treat yourself. Its a fair bit of prep work that's needed prior to applying it tho, as you need to remove any traces of polish etc, but it's well worth the effort. I'll upload some pics that show just how easy curse word just washes off leaving your rims shining like new.
I also bought a new grinder so that I can take out some of the framework of the e30 seat back and get it to fit properly. Hopefully I can get that done tomorrow once I've bolted the new BBS on?!

Not a good day yesterday. Not only did I kerb the rear nearside alloy but I also got a nail through the tyre! Gutted! Thankfully I put the Mrs in a cab and she went home and got me a spare wheel while I waited for the RAC man. Finally got home half two this morning.
Anyway, a quick call and the local wheel refurb guy sorted the kerb rash for a few beer tokens. I've had to order the 215/45x15 though so the old rims are back on.
Problems didn't end there though and the engine developed a bad misfire. I pulled the leads one at a time but as they've all got sparks I figure its an injector problem? The AFM has been cracked open at some point too so its possible moisture has got in there. Other than that, there's a multi pin plug under the inlet manifold and a bit of research tells me that it can be a common source of problems. I ran out of day light today but tomorrow I'll get stuck in and see if I can get it running properly again? We were going on a London tunnel run tomorrow at 5am but that's gonna have to wait. I've gotta get it sorted before the 27th though as I'm off for a blast round Wales.

Could be coil. Weak spark due to arcing. Replace it anyway but for peace of mind, get someone to turn the engine over whilst touching the coil. If you get a shock quick fix is WD-40 so you can get up to the motorfactors

Cheers guys. Gonna borrow the Mrs 2002tii in the morning and go pick up another AFM and some leads. Hopefully, they might have a coil there too? If not, I might have to hope Halfrauds have one on the shelf? Things always go wrong on a bloody weekend!

Looking good, old chap. I hope you can resolve the misfire soon.
Are you on Gaz coils too, by the way?

Yes mate, GAZ Golds. In fact, I stiffened them up a bit earlier and it feels much nicer. It's not too stiff though but a nice combination with the uprated ARB's from Whiteline.
So when are you getting yours on a track?

Over the weekend I managed to kerb one of my new BBS rims when I had to park in a central London car park. Luckily one of my neighbours refurbs wheels and for a few beer tokens he got it looking mint again. The kerbed rim was just the start though as on the way home a nail went through the tyre and tore the side wall. I had to put the Mrs in a cab home to fetch a spare while I waited for the RAC man and his jack. Finally got home just before 3am. Next day the engine started missing badly. I had a poke around and fitted a new AFM and HT leads but it was no better. Eventually, I found a break in the injector wiring loom where it had gone brittle and fractured below a multi point plug. The plug connection was pretty manky too so I cut it out and hard wired the loom, soldering the joints. It now runs better than ever! I've got a Schrick 288* camshaft to fit now and combined with the planned ECU upgrade I should finally pass 210bhp and 220ft/lbs of torque. I also want to finish the interior, especially the rear seat back. I need to chop out part of the frame work so that it no longer curves where the e21 is narrower than the e30 it came from. I also need to run the wiring and connect the auxiliary gauges for oil and water temp & pressure. First though, I need to go see if the new tyre is in and bolt the BBS back on! At least I know I've got a decent AFM & HT leads fitted now. Hopefully the new tyre will be in? [/quote] Was thinking of buying Alloy-gator wheel protectors? Anyone used them?

Schrick 288 degree camshaft all ready to slot in. Just unsure if I should fit a vernier? Going to take the opportunity to fit new valve guides etc as well as match the inlet & exhaust manifold ports. The goal is to reach 220 bhp and boost torque!

Stunning, I am really beginning to warm to these E21's. I did, when I was younger, own an E28 528i for a short time. Had to perform some work on the gearbox (torque convertor neck seal change). Fixed her up and sold her on. Part of me really hankers for a shark nose BM, the E21 seems to fit the bill , keep up the good work!!
