Ive got to get a estate/faimly car (wife pregnant again!) so either the Golf Gti has to go or the 406 coupe has to go, but which one??? (keeping the 205 Xs though so staying retro ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png) I love both cars and don't want to get rid of either but we really do need a estate/faimly car Or should I put them both on Ebay with a swap offer and see what one goes first?? cant be arsed with selling because of the tyre kickers and the 'give you £400 cash tommorow' brigade hence the swap thing. What do you guys think

Ebay will probably pull your swap ad.
If the GTI is a 4dr (you don't say what age it is) then I'd get rid of the 406 coupe. Makes it more usable as a family car, unless you have about 9 kids.

It is a 4 door (mk3) but its not very pratical - lowered on coilovers and 17" so cant tow the caravan :-(

trade the missus for a new unpregnated one with bigger norks. pmsl. Really though, I'd keep the Coupé. Though I AM rather partial to them.

Do what I did and get a family car that is actually fun to drive and that does not sap your very soul when you get in it! An E34 / E36 tourer would fill the job pretty well I reckon!
She wanted a Zafira or a Piccasso but as I am the driver, I ended up with an E46 318i touring - SPOT ON!

Sell the both, and get a Volvo T5 estate, loads of power and space, will tow the caravan, and normally produces a silly grin from the driver when its on boost!

Sell both and get one estate and one proper impractical retro toy! I like that idea, Right anyone want a 406 Coupe? It now owes me £900 (tax and new drop links) Or a mk3 Golf Gti £1200 ono (coilovers and Porsche rep alloys)
