1977 180B Wagon. In bright yellow with black interior. Yes, original colour! Can't believe I'm going to sell it but it's not fair on the car to be sat here, (I've had it 10 years!) it needs to get the body bits done, a coat of paint and get out there and enjoy its banana-ey goodness. Its an early model so it has the full chrome bumpers and has the original wood effect metal panels which attach to the tailgate. (I bet at least one person reading this would be tempted to wood the sides too  ) It also has JDM WING mirrors , ORIGINAL.  Mechanically good and is a solid car (floors, inner wings, sills etc) but needs some metal letting in here and there. Back half of wheelarches doing on both sides (including wing bottom areas etc) Needs new front wings. Would probably pass MOT virtually as is, it went though an MOT in 2003 because I needed it for one journey! It has been dry stored ever since. Interior is good. I installed a BRAND NEW TAILGATE and it also has a new rear valance. Bumpers are excellent, bumper rubbers are new, tail lights are new, and so are some other parts including the wiper motor. Everything was original not pattern. Basically, this car would be fairly straightforward to restore, and these things are quite rare, and especially in this colour. You could MOT and drive it as it is (And they drive SO GOOD) if you really wanted to but it would just get too rusty if you did that. . £895 (less than it would cost you to go out and buy the new parts its had!) Just putting it back together, was checking out the front structure for rust, and its amazingly solid (probably because of the Ziebart) and shows no accident damage.   When its got all its trim and (n.o.s!) bumpers back on I'll drive it outside for some piccies. |

That's very nice, faded banana yellow is spot on as well.
What's the gear change like on these (smooth or like stirring rocks?)
How big is the storage in the back?

Gearboxes are nice. (and 5 speed bolts staright in and easy to find) Back is quite roomy. I'll take a pic this afternoon if you like.

Just had a guy ring up offering 800 for this wanting to send it Africa. Grrr. I had to say no, and I was just hoping he didn't offer £50 more else how would i be able to say no then? He wants to come and look at it in next couple of days. Somebody PLEASE buy this before he comes or rings back with another £50. This needs to stay in the UK!!

SAVE!! Been asked by a RRer if I can do what it needs for mot and get it MOTd for em. I said you pay for the mot test, I'll do all the work and pay for the parts. Deposit taken and work underway!  So handbrake linkages rebuilt, rear wheel cylinder and rear silencer replaced, rear tyres replaced, just doing some little bits of welding then she'll be ready for a test this week. |
