The car is currently my daily driver which I’ve owned since December. It’s a great little car to drive and has done me well without missing a beat in the 8k miles I’ve put on her. Since I’ve had it I’ve done the oil and filter twice, replaced the usual ignition parts (plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm) I fitted a spare painted up rocker cover and did the tappet adjustments at the same time. I’ve done both front outer CV’s, both bottom arms c/w ball joints and main bushes and also the n/s hub and inner CV trying to eliminate an intermittent noise from the n/s. the car has been washed religously every weekend and kept topped up with wax. the paintwork is very good considering the age of the car and comes up with a great shine although there are a few light scratches here and there. The interior is all original and very clean for the age.

Hedman 4-2-1 manifold
Stainless exhaust with centre box and single 2” tailpipe
K&N panel filter and cold air feed
Tokico blue shocks all round
Rear lowering springs and front lowered 1 notch on torsion bars
Mugen MR5 split rim 15” alloys painted black/red lip with centre caps
Grooved front discs and braided hoses
Pioneer MP3 head unit
MB quartz 5¼” comps up front and small amp in boot
Red/silver painted rocker cover
The car will also come with the following spares:
Pair of rear quarter repair panels
Pair of sills
4 std shocks
Std ECU
n/s hub
plugs, leads, cap, rotor (old ones in case of emergency)
Sunroof wind deflector and sunroof bag
Bad points:
Both rear arches are showing signs of rust, but it hasn’t gotten any worse while I’ve owned it and was no concern at the MOT. A previous owner had gaffer taped over the edges of them and I’ve never removed it from the n/s, the o/s tape has come off when washing the car.
Both front shocks could do with replacing as the ride is a bit crashy up front.
Some utter gosh darn dash in a wagon flicked something up the other night which has put a small dent in the o/s wing and nose panel join which I was not impressed with.
The sunroof has started to leak a bit, but only when it’s parked pointing down my drive, if I reverse onto the drive it doesn’t leak. A previous owner has shotgunned some fibreglass in there in an attempt to stop it before. I had planned on applying a seam of silicon sealant then shutting the roof but thought it best to leave it for prospective buyers to have a look at.
Sometimes there is a noise from the n/sfront wheel area that I can’t track down at all, it’s intermittent but I have replaced absolutely everything in an effort to find it. (CV, hub/bearing, inner CV, ball joint) the only thing I haven’t changed on the front end is the anti roll bar drop links.
I was going to advertise the car for around £1100 but in light of these few issues £850 is the lowest price it will leave my drive at as i’m in no rush to sell it. I could probably make around that figure by breaking it for parts which I don’t want to do.
The only reason its up for sale is I want to buy a van to use as a tow vehicle to take my other car to the drag strip.
