That's a great shame Is there anything you can steal off it for yours (chrome strip bumpers maybe?) Love the silver 4 door, looks great lowered on the BBS, i've got a black 4 door GL, only mods are coilovers and weller 13" steels 8) What interior does it have? No ihe wants the bumpers incase he gets another! My interior is unusual, whiteish grey with a colourd cheque pattern on the doors and seat middles, realy like it its realy going to suit a wooden steering wheel. The interior-

It looks the same spec as my GTD I got last month, MK2s make great every day cars there so cheap too. I only pad £250 for mine but it needs 2 N/S doors.

You all told me to leave it alone... but I was bored so I painted the silver line around the plain grille. I think it looks better? and its lower. and I mopped it. and changed the gearlever boot. I'm sorry. Before-

Looks better for it. Ref the steering wheel, I had an old Astrail boss from the 70's for a scirocco and it was for small spline but there was an adaptor in it that when knocked out made it big spline. Chances of finding one are slim though. You could however remove the spline adaptor from your cars steering coloumn to make it small spline, and then the world opens up in terms of retro VW wheels

That'sprobably your best bet,I know people that have done it but IIRC it's a right of a job! That's look fantastic with the silver surround!Keep up the good work

if you need an early mounty boss to fit then all you need to do is take the outer large spline ring off the column and fit a mk3 cortina boss car looks great BTW

Still havent got that bloody adaptor off, ive changed my mind on the mountney idea though, as I'm worried about the indicators not canceling and horn problems. So a VAG steering wheel was needed, and I won this last night on the bay- EDIT- in typical ebay fashion this never turned up, so i bought another...which didnt turn up either.

Ranger/ S coupe wheel, Should fit as I think they are on big splines (I assume they are otherwise you wouldn't have bought it ;D) Should look a lot better than a 2 spoke

No, its on a small spline which is not ideal, but I realy like the style infact is there a better looking VAG wheel? (excluding the very expensive wolfsburg/quattro wheels)
Also they don't seem easy to find for sale considering they were fitted to many early polo coupe/ coupe S, caddy sport ect..

I need a replacement engine (as its developed a bottom end noise), and some coilovers that don't leak... This was supposed to be a cheap runabout so I could give the other car some attention...all gone a bit wrong. Never did get the steering wheel adaptor off either ...but its OK because I found a large spline golf mk2 momo/mountney boss, just need to choose a wheel now. ;D....and swap the engine....and suspension....
