As the title says, just been clearing out my childhood home and found one of my old bikes in the loft. What I really want to know is if it has any value other than sentimental? Conditionn is only so-so, the chrome on the wheels and bars is very poor and the tyres are bald. I'd like to do it up for my daughter but my wife isn't too keen on that idea. So, maybe it would be better off with someone who can do something with it.

What a great find !! I used to have one of these - i remember my dad buying it for me. I had a choice of Blue or Gold - ive never seen purple before. Have some retro: I had the ultra cool modification of a HMS Invincible sticker and a yellow horn shaped thing. Press the button and you got a Police, ambulance or fire engine sound...... Happy days.

I had one of those sirens hidden in my school bag with the button the handle. The Budgie was the lil bike, the Chopper was the big one, what was the mid size one called? cant remember.

Correct, all the same style for different age groups, but the Tomahawk and the Chopper had gears iirc the budgie was a single speed. Cheers, Stu.

Tomahawk had metal mag wheels. we found one on the common when we were kids and done it up for the kid next door after he got run over. Mate had a budgie and a burner both blue and i had a silver striker which my dad got from the dump. My 2p is ignore the misses, keep it for your girl, would be perfect low tube and all. However it is yours and i'm sure someone on here would put it to use- not me got too many allready, am tempted though

I think on a size scale it went. Budgie, Tomahawk, Chipper, Chopper. Although the Chipper and Tomahawk were close in size. I had a metallic green Budgie and a yellow/orangish Chipper. Nice find dude thanks for posting

not all tomahawks had mags... and i don't think many of them had gears... the budgie allthough a very cool bike (i remember having a gold one with white tyres ) isnt realy worth anything when reasonably good

Cheers for all your comments peeps.
Still, the wife won't relent and to be honest, I have enough projects to take care of so it has hopefully found a new home with one of my fellow RR's.
Cash will go to my daughter towards her driving lesson funds!

Mine was the sounds too - three i think. No microphone, that picture was the closest i could get. If anyone's got one in their shed/garage/loft - I would be interested.
