This car is great, super reliable, drives well. Never let me down EVER!
Superb colour combo, low miler, not as shafted as most E12's.
However, it does have a few 'issues'
It needs front wings, or gaffa tape for next MOT.
Needs 1 headlight
Pinks on hills, but ive never adjusted the timing to sort it out.
Needs front pads I think.
Had some 'MOT spec' welding. Its ok, but not concourse. Been welded on outer sills and one strut top.
Small hole in bottom of A pillar, by the screen not the sill.
Needs fan coupling. Its viscous, or at least it was. Fan spins full speed all the time now. Doesnt matter but sounds bad LOL
In general, i'd jump in this tomorrow and drive it anywhere, it WILL make it. I doubt it will take another MOT without some work but could probably be bodged through if needed.
Idealy it wants some money/love spending on it, would be a great base for an engine change.
These are rare now, they are usualy well rotten. This is pretty solid. I don't think it needs any welding doing, but I'm pretty sure the previous welding is just plated over the hole so if it was a long term keeper the plates want removing and doing properly. I'm sure rust wise it will be fine for a good few years yet though. Just got a few minor mechanical issues.
I cant find the full V5 at the moment but I need to sell before the tax runs out. I started a thread about what to do in this situation and its all straight forward.
