I need some help. I'm buying a Rover P5B coupe, Admiralty blue, and want to change the wheels. The present owner has put Merc Alloys on, which look pretty good, but I'm looking for something different. I had a Coupe 4 years ago, and don't want to go down the Rostyle route again. My inital thoughts are. 15x7 Minlights 15x7 Torq Thrust "D"
Any more ideas?
Thanks
Ian

Seen a P6 with Jensen Interceptor alloys on it, does the P5B have the same stud pattern? P6 looked the business.

No to Minilites! Torq Thrusts sound good.
I was also thinking of some fat Turbo Vec style wheels like the old Street Machine project car....

I don't have a decent side on view, just one at a jaunty angle. I'll take a photo later this week. I don't pick the car up until then. Interesting suggestions, The SD1 wheels may be a bit fussy? interestingingly I've had a couple of negative comments about Minilights. I think P6 are 4 stud, but I'll have to check.
Thanks

I was thinking about a SM-replica P5 the other day...but it's actually quite a bad thing to do to a rather classy car.
I'd say no to the Minilites and a big YES to the AREs, I would be tempted to go bigger though: 17s? I think a super-clean set of Cragars or Appliance 15s would look nice too.

Sorry, just saw the post above mine...as far as I know P5s and P6s are 5x5" PCD, as are Sherpas and Ford P100s, I think that some (Buick?) American cars share the pattern too. More importantly...FX4 Taxis are 5x5"....so you could run 16" Taxi steels with hubcaps and low-profile tyres!
