just picked this up off another member on here. i wasnt too sure about it before i picked it up, i didn't think id like it as a stocker, but now i have to say i absolutely love it!
its in great condition, only 26k, thats about 750 miles a year! all the chrome is very, very good, its all there, the paint is original as are the stickers, it seems to have been looked after in the past.
been razzing it round my mates rather large garden and up and down the lane to his house, and its a really cool little bike. ive never had a j-bike of this vintage, only wanky knackered BSA D7 bantams, which barely worked when they left the factory let alone 25-30 years later, so to say its was a revelation is an understatement! it seems really quick for a 35 year old 125 single, and i love the way everything actually works on it first time everytime, unlike anything british.
plans, well, i dunno. i had plans about chopping it up before i picked it up, but i do think its way too good for that. probably just a light resto. cleaning, polishing, repainting, replacing a few bits, to keep it nice. need to get another open face 'lid and some AVs and pretend I'm a US squaddie riding it round 'nam, FMJ style ;D
it needs the fork seals doing, a new tacho cable, one side panel repainting as the original fell off and its a replacement. a bit of a service/carb cleanout, as its been stood a while. its got a crack in the rear mudguard that needs welding, and the rest is just cleaning up, etc. not bad for a small bike of this age!
