This belongs to one of the lads at work, seat post way to high for serious action but lovely gheto paint job, runs n all. Like the way he painted the seat too, as the paint scuffs off the red seat pad leaves lovely patina Phone pic ain't to hot for detail, but ya get the idea n.b. my pretty ratty Honda peeks out from behind bin

I fished this Apollo Vortice out of the river in town. This pic is of it on the day that I got it home from Police lost property. Its an ok bike. I worked at Halfords and my boss said they were an ok bike. But had problems with the brakes. Cant see how as its got alloy Vs with a gyro. Ive set them up ok. The bike was matt black as standard. I had a Mk1 Raleigh Burner a few years ago. I panted it matt black. I fitted a MTB steel stem to it. I fitted a seat tube from an old bike into the frame. Mk1 Burners have 28.6mm seat posts. Instead of the more usual 22.2mm BMX seat post. I wanted a military theme. I made seat and handle bar clamp bolts out of old wheel axles. So to reduce the amount of spanners I needed to build the bike. It was my yard bike. I left it in the yard, so it was always out and ready for me to pop down the shops or whatever. Instead of getting the key for the garage. I sold it when the weather was too cold for getting on a bike that was outside all the time. I was demontrating it to the person that had come to buy it. I slide on ice and nearly hit there car.

Here's my effort, picked it up for 50p on eBay! Gave it a satin black with red scallops paintjob and some whitewall 'shopper' tyres to finish it off.

Some cool bikes in this thread, I really like the matt black GT.
Must get a mountain bike some day (got four customised/home built roadies but nothing with tyres wider than 23mm!).

^ curse word, I was in Bournemouth until a few weeks ago but have now moved to Essex/Coventry. A bit too far for me to go but I hope the sale goes well anyway, it'd be a perfect bike for me to start mountain biking with.
