I would like to change my speedo from klm to mph.What would i need,who could re do my dails,would i need the speedo doing,or would it be somethink in the speedo cable were it fits into the gearbox.Thought of going to a graphic shop to see if they could change the dail but i have notice that the numbers light up at night.Any ideas welcome

Is this for the Spectron? If so, is there a Mazda version that was sold over here that you could whip the speedo head out of?

Use a reduction gearbox thingy between the drives of the cable mine lasted a fair old while but prefer KPH, makes it look I'm going faster.

am i missing something here ?
you just need to fit a new dial, or tippex on the speeds on the one you have.
you don't need a new cable.

If his old dial is backlit, then any new dial wont be visible at night, unless he can somehow get one printed on the correct material to work with his backlight system.
Speedycables deal with this sort of thing all the time, so are probably the best people to ask.

My lucida had a conversion speedo dial fitted, i did have the recipt from the copmpany but lost it about a week after i got the thing  have a google there's bound to be company out there that do it we import enough JDM models over here nowdays ? |

i remember reading a mag feature many years ago on a baby blue mk1 scort' and the owner had made his own custom dials by painting them and just adding 30, 70, ton. looked cool as something like this:  |

You don't need a speedo to pass an MOT in the UK. Might get plenty of speeding fines, but you'll still have an MOT! ;D

stick a letter M over the K on your speedo. Then your less likely to be done for speeding And your engine will get serviced more regulary, as the odometer will read high too. |
