I seem to have lost my MOJO the last few years, but it seems to be creeping back. Yesterday, for the first time since August 2010, the Grizz-Pod came out of the garage. After selling the Anglia to Young Dan Young over the weekend, there suddenly was more space in the garage to move stuff about, first was the Transit, which is also up for sale, and I will be writing up a full for sale ad for it as soon as the time is right, unless someone comes in by PM and comes to take a look and decides to buy what is a pretty unique van/car. Yesterday I decided to turn the Transit around in the garage so that it faces outward, and as is usually the case, a whole lot of other stuff started happening...... I decided a wash and some T-Cut is in order. Once the bus was turned about, I started moving stuff about again, and then pulled the Grizz-Pod out and decided it needed a wash as well, as it never got washed after we came back from honeymoon in August 2010 So I will now just photos dump, as the bus and trailer does look different from different angles, and interestingly, if you look at some pics they look bigger than in others. Sunlight....... HOVER BUS Washed and sparkly Washed as well, Much better, drying next. Just how low can you go ? Says it all. So next up is to sell the transit, and then get a Chevy pickup truck for the teardrop trailer. Now to go start the T-Cut on the bus.

I guess this is relevant on here too. If it was not for the fact we froze our proverbial nuts off in the van, I would never have built the Grizz-Pod. PS: Another of yesterdays happenings. My Transit packed up, off on a 500km trip to its new owner.

Took the truck out for the day to Rochester, Kent today after we came back from a successful bootfair. Think Charles Dickens - Oliver Twist, Christmas Carol, Tale of two cities, David Copperfield for our foreign readers. Got loads of thumbs up, and pics taken.... Nicola said she forgets the truck has a distinct presence and does sound rather menacing when cruizing slowly by. When we came home, I got into the garage and got onto a job that has stared at me for three years....... I will not be saying too much, but this was one pic I took..... After this I removed the Transit's number plate from the rear and fitted the Chevy's plate to the Grizz-Pod. (In the UK, the trailer carries the same registration as the car towing it, and has no insurance or roadworthy testing, s you could tow a cardboard box on wheelbarrow wheels, as long as it has a number plate) This concluded a great weekend. I still do not have headlights, but many other odd jobs have been done. At least the trailer is now ready, bar a clean out and repack, for the Gathering 2013.

My old table saw I had found on Ebay for £75 a few years ago, used to build the Grizz-Pod and make a multitude of other things, recently died after about 5 years of use. This weekend I picked up a new one at the bootfair for £20....... knowing what they cost, I was pretty pleased. The guy had never even used it. Also picked up this trunk for the Grizz-Pod to fit on the A-frame only £5 again pretty pleased about that, been looking for one for years.

Short report. Took the Truck and Grizz-Pod to the Retro Rides Gathering '13 the past weekend. Left by 09.00 on Friday morning, got there by 14.00 which included about an hours stpping along the way for coffee and relaxing. At the show, Tim my mate who also drives a '74 Chevy camper truck gave me this rev counter for the truck. Friday night after BBQ this was the view in the camping field. On Saturday Tim was off to do some shopping, on his return he did some maintenance, almost disappearing into the engine bay. I left the show before 2pm on Sunday as I had to detour to pick up a pillar drill I had bought a couple of weeks ago in Buckingham. I had collected some spare seats for Nicola's MX5 which moved into the teardrop once I collected the drill. Who said this truck should not work ? Assembled, cleaned and serviced. Good value at £80.00 I will do a more complete write up with pics when I get time. In the mean time the truck still pleases me. Thanks for checking in.

Well, since buying the truck, I have wanted to replace the wheels on the Teardrop trailer with smoothies. Of course this would mean finding just two, getting tyres, then having new adapter plates made up to get the trailer from 4 stud hubs to Chevy bolt pattern. Yesterday I was at a loose end and getting bored as one does, ended up buying a pair of Wheel Vinteques Chrome Smoothies for reasonable money (that I should not have spent) off a nice member on a forum who drives a rather lush car that did not get on with the smoothies. No chrome caps unfortunately, but hopefully I will find some somewhere. Now I need to get my mate Julian to make up a pair of adapters and get two tyres from the existing rims as I cannot justify fitting a pair of thin whitewalls as well.

Went to the NSRA Swapmeet in Essex today. Collected my Wheel Vintiques Chrome smoothies and bought a pair of hubcaps for £20/pair which is less than half price. Now need a new pair of wheel adaptors made up, then find white wall tyres and get it behind the Chevy truck. Very pleased tonight.
