Some questions have I with regard to Weber 40DCOE's (and 45's).
Where is the cheapest place to buy NEW!
The best so far seems to be Rally Design (who I have used in the past and been well pleased with) at around £290 each.
What I have noticed with some places is they only sell the Weber pre-jetted (so to speak) etc. When you ask about seperate emulsion tubes, jets etc. they start woundering what you are on about and 'err no we don't sell 'em, they just come as they are in the box' ...!!!?
My other question is about the quality and where they are made, about 15 year ago I remember helping sort a friend out with a pair of 45's on a (obilgatory
) 1600 MK2 Escort. These Webers were of 'Spanish' manufacture and the quality did seem poor although I just put it down to many years of different people fiddling with them. Only recently in the last few years (along with being told that Weber went bust but have now restarted...is this correct?) did I hear that quality at their Spanish factory suffered in the late 80'S 
Anyones advice/history knowledge greatly received.
I'm okay with tuning of Webers it's just the reason I have now decided new is because of the horror story about these late 80'S second hand Spanish ones.
