Model: Fiat 127 1300GT (Series III Sport)
Year: 1983
Mileage: 75740
Tax: SORN
MOT: No
Location: Mirfield, West Yorkshire
Price: £450
Additional Information:
Very reluctant sale of my 1300GT. It was last on the road in summer 07 and I bought it on ebay a year later as a non-runner. It had been left on the owner's drive for a year following a non-starting problem and had deteriorated - as Fiat's of this vintage do if you leave 'em outside untouched!
Anyway, replacement of all electrical bits and fuel lines plus a full service etc and it's now a runner. Engine idles at 900 revs and sounds great through a Ricambio replica Abarth exhaust. It's also running a rare Italian Sprint air filter and has a dual choke Weber carb as standard. These were quick and great handling little cars.
Significant welding has been done to the sills and rear tub by Stealthstylz Matt of this parish and this has been seamsealed/ undersealed. The arches under the kit are frilly and the back of the arches still need more welding to finish though. How much of this would bother the MOT tester I don't know but basically it needs someone who's handy with the torch to finish and then MOT and enjoy.
As you can see from the pics it looks great and the interior has also survived remarkably well. The alloys are Revolution RFX 13" - all on good rubber.
Apart from the arches the car is solid - none of the dissolving metal around the inner wings, windscreen and rear hatch that these models suffer from. There are some other nice touches: fishnet headrests, OMP digital stopwatch on the roof, Abarth steering wheel etc.
The car currently sports a Carello front grill with an Abarth badge but the original grill is available along with a range of spare trim, interior, switchgear and a couple of boxes of mechanical bits.
Really, you need to come and have a look but if you want a rare 80s hot hatch for not much money, this might be for you. It really is a cool little car and really rare now.
Drop me a PM or call for any additional info/ pics etc.
Oh, good reg for RR folks too! Cheers, Nick
