Scimitat chassis seems to be a common choice for the Willys coupe, there's a few being done at the moment

I had considered the tractor option - but thought it may look a bit silly yes - great link - I looked at the photos, but it doesnt really appeal to me (for the ammount of work /expense involved) after a further rationalisation of my desires, I think I would prefer a brit 40/50 saloon / van / pick-up, adjusted to fit the chassis I'm still looking, but I do like these and I like this - but recreation would cost too much

If I remember correctly, there is less than an inch difference in wheelbase between a Se5 scimitar and an upright pop/anglia/prefect.... but if you don't fancy that plan I'm sure something interesting could happen

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Pro-laminates Fordson/Thames body is £2640!!

i had a rough measurement of the Prefect before i started the thread ;D
think ive located a suitable pick up bed, just looking for a cab / saloon car donor
I'm still not decided on the cab front, but a british 1930/40's donor high on the list

Scim is around 100" isn't it? I fancy a roof chopped lowered RR classic on a Scim chassis sometime soon.
