It's the last of the square shape Audi 80 coupes with the 2.2 5 cylinder engine on a D plate, and I'm buggered if I can find the ignition amplifier/control unit/whatever it's called today (the little black box on the aluminium heatsink that's plugged into the other end of the loom from the dizzy and coil)
On a Type 25 van it's handily placed on the side of the engine bay where everyone can see it but according to the Haynes book of lies on this Audi it's 'in the glovebox' - it's not, nor is it behind it
Any ideas guys?

I had a look there but couldn't see it. I think there are some arrangement differences between a left hand drive car and a right hand drive one as this is, and the manual I've got refers mainly to the left hand drive ones.

Cheers dude, that seems to be the consensus - the Haynes book of lies I have for this car is very old and as above I think it refers to a LHD car. I'll have the dash undertray off and have a neb when I get the car back in.
