ok, can i ask something really nice please and not mean to sound all snappy and no it aint PMT month! Can u all stop on about my english, i do know how to right its just a case at times i can be very lazy, and i think everyone has time like that! So That makes it ok does it ? We could all be Lazy and not bother to answer your questions or post links for you Would that help you get your carb sorted ? Sooner or later we all have to take responsibility for our own actions..... Its a thing called GROWING UP I can see where this will end.... sooner or later the "poor defenseless pretty girlie" act will result in someone saying "send it here and I`ll sort it out for you" then you`ll be happy until the next little problem comes up

OI excuse me, i have done most of the work on my polo myself, i don't like other people doing stuff for me!
I do take action for what i do, but I'm saying that sometime we can all be a little lazy, and also correct people on spelling when they didnt need it as it was correct in the first place!
I don't going running to people if i did then i would have gone to a garage and sorted it that way, instead of trying to learn!

LPV you're gonna have to put up with digs about your English now... same way I put up with digs about driving a Seicento (and a Mk3 Golf) .. and NickB puts up with digs about buying curse word from Ebay CONSTANTLY .. and Mr.B puts up with living with French people. Just the way it is... embrace it... it's more fun that way

Bicycle,... although I guess I could ride a horse... Funniest post evAr! ;D I imagine most mechanical skills people have on here are self taught, so I'd get stuck in and strip the Weber down and see what you find. I'm sure there will be an exploded diagram and/or a procedure for it on the net somewhere. What's the worst that can happen? Your car is running ok(ish) on the Pierburg so at least you wont be stranded without it.

that i would have paid out £45 and more of the bits and then i kill it which means a waste of money, and i can take things apart no problem its putting back together i have the problem, i tend to lose temper and find a hammer!

lol sorry that really does show I'm blonde, and i didnt even think about the fact that people still used bikes to ride to work past my age! With 2 cars cycling to work daily strangely helps me to be greener, its faster too and traffic sucks! back on topic: One way or another we're all lerning new stuff about fixing things, usually starting with no idea whats going on but asking questions reading manuals, net sites, and studying and thinking it over, oh and perseverence usually gets the job done. and its a buzz to complete it whe its been that hard too. some time a hammer works though!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

£45 for the carb and £25 for a rebuild kit sounds like a worthwhile investment to me, you'll notice improved running and maybe end up saving money in the long run due to improved consumption It is very hard to "kill" a carb, just take it apart carefully and note how all the parts come out (photos/diagrams), lay them out in the order they came out and clean and re-assemble it making sure all mating faces are clean and taking care not to over tighten screws in the alloy body. Piece of pi$$

If all else fails, but the Haynes manual for Weber carbs.....

If you've got a digital camera, you could take lots of photographs as you dismantle the Weber. Close up and personal. They might help with reassembly. As long as you put it back as it is now but with the relevant new parts in it, it'll run really well! EuroCarb's website has exploded diagrams of Weber DCOE and Dell'Orto equivalents too, so might have your carb or similar too. You'll be fine! No cash will be wasted! Get stuck in, girl! ;D I'm
