i need a pulley made to drive my blower, anyone got a lathe who would be willing to turn it up?? you will obviously be paid for your work. is what i had in mind - more detailed / better cad drawings will be supplied. preferably made from aluminium or steel... its a 3 bolt fixing with a hole for a locating lug in the middle. i would do it my self - but id rather get it done properly and i don't get much time on the college lathes. let me know if you have access to a lathe and would be willing to do, and how much youd want to do it (i don't have the material either) its a pretty standard vee belt pattern - but i have all the measurments here. cheers Nick

Is it not possible to buy that pulley direct from a bearing supplier. The one I use can get pretty much any pulley I want for a decent price.

maybe, ill give some a call. problem is that i need a centre to bolt onto a reliant water pump - 3 bolts and a lug. as you say though, they might have a blank pulley or somthing.

are you thinking of driving the blower off of the water pump pulley? If so i don't think its a good idea, you cannot transmit enough power doing this. The belt will slip, if it is tight enough not to then the water pump will fail in short order. Best to drive it off of the crank with a second pulley, double decker style.

hmm, the pump drive shaft is on two roller bearings. however i will look into a crank pulley. ill go away and think again. is there realy that much load? ithe blower is a peice of piddle to spin over with your fingers? would be pretty easy to put that pulley onto my crank however.

You better believe it just an example, an Eaton M90 spinning at Max charger revs, needs over 90hp just to drive it all the specs are on the eaton site To spin the charger you have at max rpm, is going to take as much power as your motor currently produces ;D Go away and think about it
