Ok, first job.. change the exhaust. by which I mean put the old one back on, cos the "new" one didn't fit I took off the carb, cleaned it all out with compressed air, found a new petrol pipe. Several spark plugs later and some fresh petrol, Vrooom! fiddled with the carb a bit so it was ticking over better then went for a ride up the lane. Oh, yeah, I put air in the tyres too soz for the whoohoo. I was excited ;D So here it is, me and my bike Hope you like it too.

I'm guessing its 100cc? which is a shame as it would be an ace bike to ride around when you turn 16 (if you havnt already) But when your 17 you can ride upto a 125cc when you take a cbt.
O, and welcome to the forum SOC Jr ;D

Nice work Connor. Welcome aboard - it looks like you've got the RR fever right there. Give it a month and you'll be making eyes at taking over all the work/projects from your father Say hi to that old man of yours from me & Jed

Great usernam Connor. Well done and welcome. You have a very capable little scoot there. When I was growing up, they were used and abused as delivery bikes..... people just could not kill them. Oh, and having been riding since age 14, I would say be sensible, and wear some safety gear. I was lucky at times not to get hurt, had my first big off at 60mph wearing sandals (Still do) shorts, t-shirt and a helmet. Shiny side up matey.

(puts on anorak) there were two versions of this scoot the early was 100cc and the later ones were 120cc, the full designation was the b1oop student so they were always refered to as the bloop, excellent basic machine but don't expect too much in the way of go as for insurance I don't know what it is like now but back in the 70s/80s it cost 1/3 the price to insure a 100 compared to a 125 but that one is old enough to get classic insurance and finally you have an excellent find there so ride and enjoy ttfn glenn (takes off anorak and goes and sits in the corner waiting for matron to bring my medication)

[super anorak mode]both variants (b100 and b120) share the same 118cc engine. The b100p (bloop, lol) was just earlier. replaced with the b120 student in about 1970 [/super anorak mode] Glenn is right about insurance on 100cc bikes (20 years ago) I had a GP100 for ages cos I couldn't afford to insure the RD125 not sure what its like now (and conor isn't 17 until 2013) Looked for a helmet today too. His old one doesn't fit. mine doesn't fit. The WW2 bash hat out of mayday isn't suitable... we will be shopping soon, I suspect

lol - that is cooooool ... I thought I had my eye on that one, but maybe I am thinking of the one even further back under the pile of stuff ... PS I might have a nice open face retro helmet lying around ... in a motorcycle shop near me ... least I can do given the relationship between Connor, his Capri and Carla .... what's the size of his bonce then?

Bigger than mine.. lol. I'll measure him in the morning! And yeah, you are thinking of my black '72 CB500/4 (its in the ancient pic.. that should give some clue how long I've had that one..) which is another black '72 model I won't be parting with while I still breathe in and out Tell you what though - Con is rueing having applied his ace cafe stickers to his bedroom door (hint hint)

hmm ... what is it with you and Black 72's you won't part with and I would really really like ... lol ... I suppose that must mean I have some taste ... albeit accidental, unrefined and ill-educated ...
When I drop by Fred's to sort out the Sierra I will pop into the Ace ... I will acquire some stickers and maybe a retro pair of goggles to go with the retro bone dome...
find out what beret size Connor is ... ;-)
PS with any luck I can find some retro gloves etc
