Ciao Retro Lookers..... Mooneyes and Speed Master has a new wheel available that IMO would look way cool on a retro or primer hot rod looking early Golf, Polo or Bug. They'r available in 6 & 7x15" & 7x17" with PCD 4*100, 4*114.3, 5*100, 5*114.3 and 5*115, polished or grey with polished rim.... Moore info: www.mooneyes.co.jp/smw/#

Sadly they come in some really crappy offsets +38 and +44 !.. I guess you could use spacers... or stick them on something FWD...

And they're not wide enough. And have no-where near enough dish.

I like the flat face,.. but they need the offset to get them out in the arches, like those lovely flat faced Merc wheels..
They do look good! Just wish they'd done them a bit better. I reckon you could detail them quite nicely as well.

nickb in da house: And have no-where near enough dish.
I don't know if I think so, I could see the 7X15" rim with 175-55-15 Contis and a 20mm distance on a slammed VW Derbi or US Fox wagon done "delivery style" with a primer paint job and some small Hot Rod touches...
A rim does not have to be deep dish to look cool IMO.....

Gotta say, I’m not a fan, they look a bit like the wheeltrims of a 1992 Proton 1.5 ‘Aerodeck’ if you ask me. Anyone got a pic of those wheeltrims? They were legendary.

Are these the most turd-looking wheeltrims ever supplied as standard equipment? I challenge you to find worse. cgi.ebay.co.uk/1994-PROTON-1-5-SL-WHITE_W0QQitemZ4606319835PS look at that imp thing in the background!

cloned kidney beans for FWDs? Whatever next?
Mind you for 100E with the Escort strut & steering conversion they probably will be a godsend, as you usually end up with a very FWD offset.
Mind you some of the things I've been hearing about Moon's "quality" recently I'd want to see the wheels first.
