As part of my small old tool collection, i have been trying to work out what these are and what they are used for. Picked them up at a boot fair ages ago. any ideas???   |

they're not any form of compressing tool, cos when you squeeze em together, they extend..... the fact they lock in the extended position would also indicate you may need your hands free to assemble other bits around/to whatever your extending, so youd use both hands to use them, then lock them, fit bits around thing being extended, then release, so id say drum brake spring extender is definately the best guess. if you want to sell them or swap them for something, let me know, as i think ive got the perfect use for them. |
