That gets a jumbo sized WTF from me! But at the same time for all its oddness i quite like it. At first look i thought it was a mini based kit car (gem?) with a mini front end grafted on, but it looks far too wide, or possibly the wings have been cut down sprint-style. My guess might be its a custom build with a mid mounted, possibly honda 2500?
NEED INFO!

It does look very MGF ish around the windscreen, but the doors are wrong and it doesnt have the intake in the rear quarter. If it was at a metro meet could it be a metro based Audi TT not-much-looky-likey kit thing with a mini front and modified back? If it not on a Q for a kit it might get away with 68 id if it ran enuff parts from the original car, but with 1800 mentioned it could be a k-series, then a KV6, (i could be talking balls here but didnt rover make a V6 based on the K-series??) but I'm not sure what capacity they are, possibly 2.5? they fitted the Honda 2.5 in rover stuff too, so it may fit in a metro subframe making it a mini/metro bassed kit? I like a mystery! |

If you look at the shape of the front/rear wings the bodyshell from the waist down is Mini, albeit widened. With what looks like the top of an MGF body grafted on. For me it's proportionally all over the place, that front overhang wouldn't look out of place on a Doe tractor:  But hey....he built it, he must love it, right? ;D |

Ah haaaaaaaaaa... So based on an mgf, the lower half of the doors may be mini, but surley there aint enough left to call it a 68 mini?
