I'm sick and fed up of this bullsh1t. Every waking minute when I am not working is spent grubbing about with broken down, scabby old cars, trucks, tractors, bikes etc. Even when I am working, 40% of my time is spent grubbing about with broken down, scabby old cars, trucks and tractors.
So, I'm pretty much recovered from my accident, and am getting back into things, but I just cant be bothered.
Have some photos.
This pile of scrap used to be a muck spreader, and now needs built into a trailer, with a second axle added so it will carry 5 tons. I don't know where I will get an axle from, but apart from that, there is maybe 2 days of work to finish it.
Its not a priority though, as it is supposed to carry this....
...but this poxy thing still refuses to start. Diagnosis - gassed injector pump. Quote from local specialist to rebuild it... €2800. two thousand eight hundred euros. Thats some kind of joke, surely?
Lacking approximately 90% of the money required to rebuild that pump, A whole replacement engine is the next option. Yanmar stuff is non-existant here 2nd hand, so a car engine will have to do. I picked this up yesterday....
It was free so thats a good start. Today was spent removing this...
Which will take the place of this, in the digger...
Which means fabricating all new engine mounts, and most difficultly, connecting the motor to the hydraulic pump. The pump bolts directly to the flywheel of the original engine, I have yet to figure out how to connect it to the Nova engines flywheel.
While I was doing that, Ze Germans turned up with their AX, requiring brake pad replacement. Fine, except they had the wrong pads. They went away, but will no doubt be back in a few days needing them done.
They parked up next to one of C15`s, which is currently awaiting CT and registration here, which I simply don't have the time for just now.
Then just a little to the left is the C15 fridge van...
We need this for my sisters business but it has now decided that the fridge wont work for more than 20 minutes at a time. The compressor keeps running as normal, but it doesnt produce any cold. I don't have even the slightest idea where to start with that apart from a re-gas, which I obviously cant do myself.
This one, I use daily...
But it needs a new door. Cant open the window more than 6 inches, which isnt too handy in 30 degree heat.
The truck needs sorted out too...
No insurance, no CT, and a rear axle with silly amounts of free play. don't know what do with that. Sell it I suppose.
Need to get rid of this too, its getting on my tits...
And then there is my poor old mini van.
Mojo was running so high with that one, rebuilt from a rotten shell, i was a flurry of activity till I had my accident. Its a weekends worth of work away from seeing the road. New master cylinder seals and refitting the door properly, then wee stuff like wper jets and some minor wiring....cant be bothered, and don't have the time. Its slowly collecting dust and other rubbish.
I have a few other wee things to do aswell. I have been promising my nephew a cool pedal cart for months now, but I can hardly fit inside the bloody workshop, nevermind do any work there....
Piles of broken down old curse word....countless mowers, rotorvators, bikes and other junk is clogging the place up with no sign of ever shifting.
I need a change of scene.
