it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Hehe, mine isn't as tidy as in my sig pick anymore I'm afraid. After two years of ownership away from the sfaety of a garrage the climate has started to attack it and the doors are now pock marked with rust. Real shame as she looks stunning in the photo. Street, what name did you go as? I see you have a mk3 Escort so that's a start. Mine is still half built in the garage and I really regret going so far with it as although it'll be a really smart car when done I could have had a really smart something else modified to the hilt instead such as a mk1 Granny! The scort will get finished, the 2.0lre Zetec is half fitted (got to finish the head) and just about everything else is done. I'll probably use it for a year and then prehaps sell it (at astronomical loss) to try and fund something more 'me'. I used the name Street on that forum too, but i wasnt on there very often, just dipped in and out when i could. Shame the cabbie isnt as fresh as it was, bieng stood in the elements does bad things to a car. I'm sure when you get it up and running again it will all seem worthwhile...... but i do know what you mean, even though i love mk3 escorts, the effort i am putting into what will never be a particularly sought after car could have been put into something more 'worthwhile' in other peoples eyes

i REALLY nearly bought this a couple of years ago i even had savings for it! An ex show car that had been taken to bits, and them bits taken to bits, its in many pieces, suspension was powder coated, sounded good but decided it was too much work oh and it was in other side of the country as usual, plus i didnt see it in the flesh. Finally, first mod was lengthening roof and doors. i was out of my depth, not sure if the guy willl have a prob me putting this on here or not, doubt it if i direct you to his ad so it gets some exposure! www.lacustom.com/4sale.htmlanyone else any pics of this or owt

Bloomin hell! How much? Is it all together or is a tarted up money pit? That standard looking bronze car with a V8 sounds right up my street. Speaking of Street, the mk3 Cabbie is still looking fine and fresh and is hibernating in the garage. Ot's the Cortina that's showing evidence of it's time spent outside. Oh I hate starting these threads, I really really really really really really want one now! Just like the bronze V8 car!
