Just bought some tyres from these people... www.mytyres.co.ukThey were so cheap I was obviously cynical, but if you can find somebody to fit them for you, I'd highly recommend you buy them from here. Some of the prices are up to 50% less than I've found elsewhere, let alone the big chain prices... Oh and yeah and VAT and delivery are included in the price they show! ;D ;D ;D

mytyres are great, used them a couple of times. Got some 155/65 Yoko S302s for my G/Fs Seicento for £25 a corner and ATS want almost £50 a corner I took them to Kwik Fit to get them fitted, a bit cheeky but they didn`t seem to mind I want to get some 195/45 R14 Yoko A539s for the Polo, a bit overkill maybe but they have a lovely tread pattern

standard run of the mill tyres seem to be cheaper with them, but odd sizes are often more expensive than a local tyre shop. i had trouble getting 175/65 R13's for the G40 from them for a respectable amount, my local indepandant did them for £23 a tyre (fronts, so the're not going to last long, hence budget!)
although now i fit part-worns to everything - same local place, 225/45R17 Pirellis still with mouding marks on, probably less than a hundred miles - £25 each fitted.

Interesting, do you think tyre prices are regional, here in the South West I can't find a supplier that cheap really. I got some 16in Avons from mytyres, not sure about the lower sized stuff really... Worth shopping about I guess, maybe I'll try harder more locally too...

Best I ever found in the south west was Micheldever tyres, they always used to be the cheapest place for Yokos Worth a call, see if they are still cheap

When it comes to cheap tyres this is a new player to count on, Maxxis has been available in MX & Scooter tires here in Sweden, their MX & Enduro tires have been a huge hit with riders, we sell them by the load and everyone, execpt maybe the most hard riding Pro MX'r are raving about the quality and performance. Maxxis scooter tires have been sold for some years now and are fitted to all Aprilia scooters from 50 to 500cc and work real well. Prices are killer, about 20% less than an equal Metzler, Michelin or Pirelli and for 2006 they will go into the automotive market here in Sweden and the prices are INSANE, sadly I got a set of Bridgestones (Ok so I like freebies) for the Skoda and did not need another set but our RR Crew Chief got a set of 205-45-16 ZR's for his VW Transporter and man did they look cool and the prize!!!!! We would pay 40Euro each wholesale ex VAT but that's about 1/3 of what a similar tire cost so look out for these puppies...... Looks real cool... More info: www.maxxis.com

Good link ;D The sizes I put in seem pretty cheap delivered. I go through shedloads when autotesting and they work out better value than part worns or scrappy tyres. I have my own tyre fitting machine at home so thats no problem.

My local Wheel shop can do me a set of 4 YOKOHAMA 185/60 R14 for one of my cars for £150 to include balanced and fitted all in!
Years ago I remember Yokohama were considered a more expensive tyre?
