Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.
The Nottingham mid-size congregated once again at Chez-Akku and fine automotive tinkering was undertaken, as was some eating and surprize declining of beers.
Much of the day involved pushing 2.5 imperial tons of Oldsmobile up a hill on gravel and grass whilst dodging the Mazda my sister in law had thoughtfully left here. It saw a few lawn-miles too.
Posse in effect (not Flavour, Terminator) were Benzboy, Hitch and PaulMi16. My chum and non-netizen Steve also popped in to endure, sorry, enjoy the afternoon with us.
MrMi16 was showing off his feminine side with this latest purchase
flamin' clean as they come though. Nice little buy for the summer.
I do worry about him though. Seriously. And he professes to be "camera shy". Uh huh.
stage 1, get Olds out of garage. Move swing. Stand about
"Its got me arm!" I am reminded of the opening scene from Christine, but was prevented from re-enactment.
you just can't understand how hard it was to get this far unless you were there.
Plymouth is already on the lawn (along with PT Cruiser and Lexus). You gotta know Mrs Ku was out, yeah?
getting there....
stuff it in the tree.
Plymouth is now going in the shed, Olds will hopefully be off tomorrow on a truck to get professional attention to the leaky bits we can't stop from spilling thier guts.
Yeah, we had BBQ
Then looking at Plymouth brake problem.
Wanna play "who's legs are these"??
Steve pops in on the way back from his dad's birthday
Not checkin has butt out, even though it looks like it in the pics LOL
Plymouth made it to be put away, brakes still not fixed but we reckon we know why. Well, maybe. Need to be borrowing BB's brake pipe flare tool. More on this later.
just got to push the Olds back in front of the garage.
But wait, who's this making a run for it?
Come back, there's more cake!
Done,
and done.
Hopefully the naxt installment in this turgid saga is when it comes back from the 'shop and the trans works *** w00t! ***
We shall see.
Muchos thanks to the guys who came over today and pitched in. Luv to ya all.
