Does anyone know a place where you can work on cars in Coventry / Store them?
I know it's a long shot, but being without one of my cars is really starting to, well, depress me I guess. I've got so much I'd like to do yet no chance to do it, and it drives me up the wall!
Maybe it's time to fill out that membership for friends of Coventry Transport museum so I can help them.....

I applied for 2 locks up in South Oxfordshire fairly quickly, close to where I used to work. They cost me around £600 a year, but most importantly they're safe. If you do need numbers to help the costs for storage in Coventry or Warwick, count me in!

The problem with lock-ups is they usually don't have power / light, and you'll find that the terms & conditions of the lease exclude carrying out maintainance on vehicles.....(!).

Just built a 7m x 4m garage in Coventry, in my back garden, unfortunately its a new home for my Minor. (At last a garage where I can open the doors(both sides!) without them hitting a wall)
I did hear of a car building club in Coventry that has a barn somewhere but unfortunatly I do not know any more. If I hear I will let you know.

John i'll try and dig out the details next time I'm back at home ( in Holland at present ) for the coventry guys, as far as I know it IS still about, A few of us Warwick way used to have a fantastic barn with LOADS of room in a nearby village, tucked away from prying eye's but unfortunately the ol boy past away and his family have kicked us off site ( 2 months ago now ) so everythings in various lockups round the midlands !. J out ;D

I am renting a lock up garage off Humber Road in Coventry, which is fairly secure and I have worked on my car there in the past without any problems (apart from having no power). The garages are owned by Metfix Ceilings LTD and are rented out at £7 per week. They did have a small unit at the bottom of the garages with electric, but they wanted about £80 per week. There was room for about 3 cars in there. Try giving them a ring on 02476 457343 and ask them if they have any lock ups to rent. Good Luck Dave ;D
