Shame about the Special, rare as hens teeth and only 19000 miles..... Still, they inadvertantly did the No1 thing to improve a Marinas handling - widen the track and fit decent width tyres! I do like the 300's, one of my mates had one back in the day and it was the bollix. That Capri was hanging before they started though...

It wasn't even slightly funny. What was the point? Quite a few of the 'jokes' weren't funny actually - Olivier Panis' name for instance. It was so not funny that you just had to sit and watch the whole programe then just for something to complain about? LOL LOL ;D hahahaha so true i realy don't get why people that don't like the show even watch it?

And they did that thing again where the "sponsors" name reads funny when they open the doors, like "Merde du fromage" and so on.
Nice selection of cars and I never saw the Capri coming. Was expecting a BMW or a Merc.

BTW, does anyone ever notice how they always have fairly fit girls standing in shot behind them in the studio (there were two nice brunettes behind hammond tonight).... BUT they replaced them with less-fit ones when Sienna Miller was on the seat? Do you think she requested that maybe???

Sienna Miller wasn't what I was expecting. I always thought she was easy on the eye but expected her to be a bit of a space cadet. However, I thought she was quite witty and amusing.
All the way through, I was saying to my daughter "That Marina's toast". Still funny when it was though.

BTW I don't watch Top Gear anymore so I don't know if that episode was even crappier than usual or not!

Very funny and entertaining, I agree some of the jokes are getting a bit stretched but I did burst out laughing a few times. The new Jag was impressive and Sienna Miller is very likeable.

Pretty much my thoughts! There isn't much else on I bother to watch apart from the odd CSI and oddly Gilmore Girls (blame the wife). Plus it's one of the few programmes the Wife and I both enjoy.

Entertaining show, and yes, Sienna Miller impressed me too - not a bad lap time. As for the Marina - *yawns* - FFS, smashing up Marinas is getting very, very boring now. I'd give them a driveable Sierra or mk2 Polo for free just to see a piano drop on something different.

I've been to see top gear, they drag the good looking girls up the front and push the weird looking blokes to the back, i wouldn't let em take my missus when they tried, gave the bloke a hard stare as he was about to grab her arm so he passed us by as i'm a big lad.

love that 300.. the wheels were perfect for it. Sorely tempted now tbh. The whole Allegro thing makes me chuckle tbh. So much so that you got the car wrong... Fail. I need to stop drinking then posting on message boards. However its an easy mistake IMO as I have very little interest in British Leyland cars. Only reason I can imagine buying one is for comedy value, and for that I'd much rather have a Trabant.

Yeah, Marinas and Allegros are almost identical... I can't imagine a Marina being that comedic to drive, just a bit dismal with its leaf springs and lever arm dampers. It did look quite composed on the ice racing circuit driving at 5mph though.

I think a mere 3 pages suggests that TG isn't raising hackles as much as it used to! Soddit, let's talk about cool old cars instead!

Last nights Top Gear wasn't the greatest TBH!
Knew as soon as they finished the ice race & they parked up near the bridge that the Marina would end up stopping a falling piano!
Shame the Capper didn't make it though

To be honest its understandable why they do that. I think people are forgetting this is a TV show and still needs good ratings so they constantly try to pull off 'stunts' and things to keep people watching. It upsets a few hard to please types but who cares, you don't have to watch it! As for those saying why another Marina? Because people made a fuss last time and they like controversy... again as it gives them good ratings.

My two favourite bits were the 300ZX (awesome car and bloody quick too) and seeing James proudly congratulating the Marina after the race with a friendly bash on the steering wheel. That bit actually seemed genuine, which was a nice change.
I found Sienna Miller quite unpleasant myself.
