I've had the Technic 8880 Super car sat on the shelf for a while but always felt the extreme ride height didn't suit it. Here it is built roughly stock:
More 4x4 than super car. So, to lower it I moved the top spring mounts up a couple of studs using some extra beams above the original mounts. At the rear theres plenty of room in the arch for the wheel to move; at the front there isn't which necessitated some re-modelling of the area. Here's what it ended up like:
I was pretty chuffed with the result, even tho there's not much suspension travel Luckily there's no speed bumps or pot-holes on the living room carpet.
