1) Different wheels, sometimes off a higher model 2) Nicer steering wheel 3) More gauges! "Capn', she cannae take it!" 4) Subtle engine mods, like eleccy fans, filters, electronic ignition etc 5) Sports exhaust 6) Sorted suspension 7) V8, of course! 8) Screaming 4 pot....can be done cheap! (relatively) 9) Let the light in, via a full length webasto! 10) Decent brakes/steering.
Better get to work, methinks!

1. Sort the stance (normaly low but could be high or rake if if that way inclined!) 2. Sort the wheels (normaly wide, big offset with stretched rubber) 3. Sort the paint (matt is good and very easy but its been done so try themed such as green and with yellow stripe John Deer style!) 4. Roof rack (with something on it (not a coolbox thats oldhat and ghey) try a tractor tyre ) 5. Random accessory such as racer86s old roofrack mounted light! 6. Debumper or fit oldskool chrome version 7. Side exit exhaust (matt black) with a upswept kink on the end about 6in long 8. Strip interior and fit glass buckets upholstered in a old skool fabric 9. Fit bike engine (or simlar unusal power plant) 10. Fit Fully adustible, rosejointed coilover suspension setup I think about this stuff way too much

The following is what I have done and still do. Also the list doesn't work out that expensive which to me is what it's all about 1. Cibie Oscar ('Chrome rim', 'plus' or 'super' etc.) Spotlights (This is proving the most popular on this thread ;D) or if an 80's vehicle some Hellas can also look good/ 2. Retro Steering wheel with alloy spokes with holes 3. Chromed (if steel) or highly polished (if alloy) rocker cover. 4. Super Clean engine compartment 5. Plenty of dials on dashboard (make that 70's 'E' Ford Jealous ;D) 6. Aftermarket wheels (Revolution or Wantanabes are ultimate if money will permit) or rostyle etc wheels of higher model in range. 7. Tyres such as Yokohama (the A008 with the 1/3rd 'banded' edge with holes in were best) also liked the Original Goodyear NCT (Not 'Eagle' NCT) range. 8. Sump guard. 9. Polished up rear exhaust 'back box' (but no silly sounding 'chav' back box). 10. A few 'Classic' stickers under bonnet and in/on side rear windows. The whole list above (apart from the fittment of Revolution or Wantanabees) can be done to a vehicle for less than £450 and thats if buying new!
