;D I was too young when my dad had one of these so I couldn't wait to have a go in one. It's mine till Monday morning It's an auto but surely we're all agreed it's absolutely stunning! Pics in the light tomorrow if anyone's interested! And a poor one to show the colour-

It's a great car- only 40k on it.
Funny how much things seemed to have moved on dynamically though in a realtively short space of time- my M3 is only 7 years younger but it feels like 50! Still handles pretty tidily though. Engine note is note what I expected though- a bit rough and diesel-like... sure they're not all like that!

Autobox+Sprint = bad combo, due to coming on the boil just as the box changes, bit gutless. But still, ace cars, whatever

Oddly the only genuinely fast accelaration seems to occur when you floor it doing about 55 but other than that it's usefully swift but by no means quick. By the time the box has worked out you want to go fast and changed down the need for speed has passed and then it just changes up too early as you say!

It wasn't supposed to be actually, I forgot you had a Toledo and a Volvo engine there, but now that you mention it... Go on! Do it! You know you want to! ;D ;D ;D

Stop eyeing up the sprint in the museum! It's mine, all mine I tell you!
I like the sound of the Volvo turbo engine!
Maybe it's time for a stripped-out-1850 with that kinda powerplant!
