Here's what it failed the MOT on. Fell of a jack a couple of years ago and it's gone rusty. Anyone in sheffield want to earn some beer tokens and come weld it for me?

They nice little vans Now ive got a bit of a problem, I bought the van knowing it didnt rev. Ive replaced the part that was supposed to be at fault (accerator sender, as it's drive by wire) but it still fails to rev, it just flashes the glow plug light and goes into limp home mode. Has anyone had this problem with a 1.9 sdi engine, I know it is a common problem but no one seems to say how they fixed it lol. I am waiting on the vag.com cable so I can plug it in and see what it thinks is up. In the meantime ive left the battery off for 24hr's to see if it will clear the ecu, which I doubt.

Bare in mind the glow light is basically a fault light. My glowplug light came on to show i had a brake light bulb out!

It's not going to help is it lol, I'm trying to find one for less than VW charge at the moment. May have found a re-furb company which would be cheapest option Stupid new fangled electronics, it's actually cheaper to buy a working mk3 golf gti 16v/seat cupra and swap everything across than to buy the ecu from VW

Pick the new car up on Monday, settled for a K11 Micra 1.0 16v. Not fast but it's cheap to run. Couple of autotrader pics: All being well will get hit slightly with the stick and some rims Defo needs lowering as its like driving a jelly. My google foo is weak and I cant find any spring and shock kits (needs at least 1 new shocker) that is under £300. Any ideas?

When I had my K11 Micra (1.3GX) I lowered it 30mm by fitting some Spax springs that I was lucky enough to find on Ebay - cue instant handling transformation Fitting a set of wider 14" 100nx alloys improved it even more & made it into a fun, & quickish, little car. I'm pretty sure that fitting 1.3 cams to the 1 litre is a good upgrade I think, also I'm 99.99999% certain that Janspeed make a free flow exhaust manifold for these which combined with a de-catted exhaust should make a considerable improvement You could do worse than register on the Micra Sports Club (might cost though) - useful forum with lots of parts for sale & many heavily modded Micra's. They're very good, under-rated cars - I'd happily have another

nice buy dude, Pauls correct there is a janspeed manifold available for the k11 which makes a massive performance improvement as does fitting the 1.3 cams although to be honest I would just fit a 1.3 for all the hassle there. To give you an idea the janspeed fitted to the CG13 takes it from 75bhp to 99bhp with no other mods thats rolling road proven may a time and let me tell you a car that size with that power is utterly awesome! on the CG10 it will take it from 58-60bhp up to about 75ish

Will have to keep an eye out for a janspeed if it makes that much difference. New rims arrived today Centre bore needs enlarging to get them to fit but tried them on, going to have a nice bit of poke on the front. Anyway enough talk and more pic's Back Front

Anyone know what best way to strip the rims down? Also when they re-furbed a cheap place to have my tyres fitted, also... anyone got a standard arosa/lupo front & rear shock/springs I could borrow to see if I could get away with fitting lupo coilovers? Lots of questions there eh! Cheers Joe

Not tried yet mate, but it looks like the rear suspension is the wrong kind as the micra is springs and shocks seperate whereas the mk1 uses complete struts Got some tyres though
