Me and my better half blasted over to elvaston castle for a picnic in the car. Whilst Munching our grub i suggested we made a table that i can use as an arm rest while driving and a picnic table whilst eating in the car. So Jessica(the better half) Had the idea of a little mini surfboard, which i thought was mint. So we got back home, she took some measurements and drew it out on some 12mm MDF, then in true blue peter style i cut it out and it became one she made earlier..... ;D I then sent her off home with a can of primer, satin black, red, and white along with some different grades of sand paper and masking tape. Its taken her a good three days but I'm pretty impressed with her final outcome as its about five years since she last did any woodwork, Minus some furniture flatpacks with her dad...... So here it is from primer to finish. Jessicas Masterpiece.
Primered up waiting for paint:
Masked and blacked with the white under the masking:
Masked and redded.
And a lil bit of detailing.
I love it and thing it will look great in place like so:
Just gotta make it some legs so it is stable and movable backwards and forwards, the plan is it slides backwards out the way when driving and forwards when sat picnicing in the rain.. Thanks you babe i like it loads haha
Wow longest post anywhere ever for me! Ignore and bad grammer or spelling.
