As in the heading, anyone know where I can find a set to buy, nick, extort or steal.... ? I want to cut the centres out, and use the hoops to build a set of wider wheels for the Anglia.
The closer to Kent the better, but we know the Helping/courier spirit and pony express is alive and well.
PM please, or call/text me on: 07843053134
Cheers, Rian

If you're gonna go the way of the welded centre Grizz, go for the cheap option and score yourself some scruffy 13" Wellers.....in whatever rim width you want!!

Thanks mate, would be happy to have thefour of them at £25, which is the BIN price, bur collection and delivery from The Wirral is a problem. If I knew someone in the area who could collect and store , or even get down here, that would be real usefull.

Hello, As already stated Mexico wheels are a bit spitefull, you may find either Capri 1600LS wheels or XR2 Fiesta steels are cheaper, but may be rarer still.... I am not sure but there may be some Mk1 or 2 Golf that were available in 5.5 or 6 inches wide... Or I have just thought, 1600 E roystyles!! Your going to cut the Middles out anyway so it wont matter if the chrome is curse word!! ;D ;D

grizz are you looking to keep the crome center or would you be happy to run mk2 escort dart bords ? cos ive got a few ready made that can be cheap Hi James, The plan is to make the steel hoops cream, like the car and to keep the 105e/Cortina caps, not to go for the original "nipple" caps. I need to use the 100e centres I bought from KFW, and then cut off/out the centres of a set of "Mexico"/ Laser and reverse the hoops to get a nice wide band. If I can get the centres set up right and the bands on square, then I hope to come in at sensible money for the whole project, and have enough to pay one of these exhorbitantly priced pwdercoating firms to powdercoat the rims for me, and then add modern tyres in about 165 and 175 sizes front and rear respectively. It is just about the looks. I actually do not know much about the variety of rims and what they are called.

Ultimately the 5.5 J size is what makes the difference, and as long as one ends up with a wide lip that is not welded, I am sure the look will be what I am looking for.
The Mexico lip seems wider, but it could be just an illusion. Thanks for the pics Dale.
