The skoda has gone out of reach, i liked it but not that much. The imps gonna get it, REAL BAD! Lower, a lot lower i want to take it down at least another 2", and i will decamber the front end a touch. Competition dampers, and chopped springs. Disks added to the front aswell. New gearbox and a modified gear linkage, not too sure what to go for yet as ive had a few ideas Stock Modified to get slightly closer to the steering wheel and a shorter shift And fully modified to get the gear stick right next to the wheel and shorter shifting I will also add a UJ to the steering column so the steering wheel is verticle infront of me I also going to fit a copper head gasket to drop the compression ratio a touch and wind the boost up to 15psi. Cut a duct in the side of the imp and put a monster scoop to the intercooler, with a duct to get the air out aswell. I would also like to do a carbon rear ducktail spoiler and a front splitter. Any thoughts? cheers J P.S. Sorry for all the poor paint pictures, i have no photoshop!

theres a spaceframed imp on ebay at the moment that i was looking at yesterday that had a ducktail rear spoiler. I thought at the time that would look excellent on your imp. Def a good plan mate!! i presume they don't have speed bumps where you drive! lol.

Thats the old skoda you were watching on ebay? was it the orange LHD one? how much it go for? or am i barking up the wrong tree?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

yeah twas the orange one, went for about £900. Too much for an interim car, thank kinda money will go a long way on my imp!
Yeah the spaceframe ducktail looks very cool, and i want that front to be cutting grass! Ill just go very slowly over speedbumps, or really really really fast!
Time to go mental on the poor imp hehe

kevlar bucket...bit out of my budget. my 2nd hand fibreglass OMP one is gonna have to do. its fia approved though and on the floor aswell.. feels much nicer...sucks for parking though i guess thats what bumpers are for.

I don't think gear linkage idea 1 will work as the shaft wouldent twist is would just waggle side to side Idea 2 looks better but you could use a modded mini linkage (as i have in my mini! shock horror!) to make it a alot easyer and cheaper. Justr stick a UJ on the box and one on the linkage and run a bar inbetween. My attempt: works great

would probably cost more for the mini linkage as i have all the bits i need in my F1 box at home. And ive never done things the easy way! the flexible section in the first two is standard imp issue, it does not twist, its like a flexible screwdriver if that makes any sence? J
