Bought the car off ebay at the end of May.. Long treck from Sheffield down to Kent to see it. Brakes were binding as it had been stood in a barn for a while but looked solid and engine sounded sweet so once home I nipped in last minute to make a bid, won the auction for the princely sum of £400. The car now resides on my drive along with a few other projects I should have sorted before now. It really is a solid example. Waxoiled from new. Interior is very good apart from a sag in the roof lining and a missing side roof trim. The paintwork is a bit dull in places but planning to respray it at some point anyway. My dad has sorted one small spot of welding underneath the accelerator. Brakes cleaned up and freed off and I 'll be taking it down for the MOT next week. Also it had no mirrors so I've fitted some chrome bullets I had stashed away. They really suit the shape of the car and match the rest of the chromework, which is also in very good condition. Fingers crossed for the MOT

MM as in Minor or as in Maestro and Montego? I'll keep an eye out for you - I fancy a VP1500 at some point in the near future (soon as I've found a job to insure and fuel one, til then it's named on a 306), so it'd be nice to chat to an owner in my area.

Thats sexy, the perfect colour too! The picnic tables are a deffinate win, i remember a guy years ago who had a pair of those seats modified to fit in a mini, no idea why you need picnic tables in the back of a mini! Total Win on the car though!

Bought some 14 x 7 lotus alloys of ebay today. Chuffing cornwall tho. Road trip. I think they are the same as HoTWire's rims on his coupe. ?? Planning matt black with a polished lip. Got the tyres in the garage already.
Will upload some pics asap.
Also has anyone seen the new transformers film?? I swear to dog there's an allegro in that. They are just dropping 'something' (for those who have not yet seen it) out of a plane over the egypt / jordan border. Straight after, the camera pans across the edge of a dusty desert on the edge of a ramshackle town and poking out between the buildings is the back end of a yellow allegro. I'm sure of it! Let me know if you've seen it or keep an eye out if your going to see it.

Just a quick update.... need to pull my finger out and get it ready for RRG09.
Clutch is off and new one on its ways- £10 ebay bargain and talking of bargains got a suspension pump for £60 off ebay aswell. Works a treat. Might take it to RRG and drop it on its ass and then pump it up for the journey home. Standard ride height looks a bit 4x4 at the mo!
