My wheel nuts didnt arrive on time so set off for RRG on saturday morning on normal wheels. But as per the RRG breakdown thread, the VP didnt make it. 3/4 of the way there and the clutch stopped working. Managed to get into the services and was to bleed some air out for the slave cylinder, but snapped the end of the cylinder off. Oh b* gger 4 hr wait for the RAC truck and we shot back down in my nephews car. Didnt get there til 1.30am. That was my first RRG and it was the best event I've been to. Will be doing fri/sat/sun next time tho. Just fitted the wheels. They need a polish but look pretty phat IMO. Just waiting on new slave cylinder to arrive now

Think those wheels need a bit of paint on them to tie them into the car, as it doesnt quite work as is.

They look ace! Yeah, polished up and either mustard beige on the inner rim/spokes or gloss black, and slammed on the front but as is on the back. Awesome!!

I cant really slam it, there's too many 'lump between the wheels' type speed bumps between home and work, and the gear box in the sump is really low- it'd be asking for trouble.
I'm hatching a plan to butcher a citroen bx suspension pump and reservoir which could be attached to the current valves for adjustable ride height. And it wud be removeable if I ever wanted to put it back to original, dog forbid.
Also having day dreams of bentley style mesh in the front, or would that be too much?

B) those seperated humps arent to bad to get over in lowered cars, just drive with a wheel on each hump and the centre of the car over the 'gap'. you do sometimes need to wait for a gap in opposite traffic C) those wheels look great, but agreed a bit of body coloured detailing on them would be cool as hell. ;D

I'm absolutly loving that don't be alarmed if you see a mad man in a Merc 190 cosworth waving madly at you and giving you respect on the streets of Sheffield. And i know what you mean about the speed bumps!! They are the bain of my life. Fecking horrific things that nobody actually wants. Why don't they actually fix the crumbling roads inbetween the bloody humps??!!!? Stu

Will be getting the tyres whipped off tomorrow for a refurb. Gonna do em myself. Planning on jacking up the front and sticking in it gear. Then with the wheels spinning will use varying grades of wet n dry sandpaper to polish em up. will post up pics when I'm done.
