Hope this isn't going to turn into the usual Rover bashing thread. That is an abomination but I've similar and worse done to all manner of Vauxhalls, Fords, Puntos, etc etc. I love my BRM. If you can find more car for less money, post up the options here. I'd like to read 'em... Nick I've got nothing against Rovers really, except the obvious flaws that they tend to be a tad dull and they are usually driven by near-centenarians. As the expression goes, everything has potential. That said, where the above car is concerned, I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry! Now, if the interior was upholstered in thick polyester leopard-print shag, then we might be getting somewhere... ;D Seriously though, I love that one on Ronals. Euro look or touring car ftw.

IMO they rally suit the touring car look.Mrs.CW's Britcar is a MG ZS,which started as a Rover 400 diesel. EDIT:These are some pics of them car, she's not driving it and it's slightly differen now,but it's the same car and you get the general idea This is one of her in her first test in it:

same as civc m series and they are really hard to modify well. i think tweak rather than mod would be best option, its a dull shape and a duller drive. mild drop, facelift bumper, maybe multispokes for touring car reference...

I think its the other way round, its mostly a Rover designed car thats rebadged as a Honda! The older R8 wedge 200s were mostly Honda though. You've got it the wrong way round. R8s had a lot more Rover input, the mk2 400s are almost 100% Honda apart from most of the engines, and the saloon which Rover went out their way to design. I've had a couple of these 400s and they're alright, nice to drive and the diesel one was very pokey. Pretty cramped and dated interior though, betraying its 1990-era Honda roots. I think I was getting it confused with the bubble 200 which was almost all Rover.

Good find. I like these.
My friend was running an R plate one for ages. Really posh (electric windows, remote central locking) and very comfortable.
He scrapped it in the end as things kept going wrong - especially the coil pack.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

OZ supertourismo's +60mm lowering + colour coding would look ace.
Although I was amazed how welll these things ride and handle, not much behind the benchmark called the Peugeot 406 (those days..)

Rovers have so much untapped potential, as that silver 400 shows us. Wanted to go that way with mine but insurance is oddly expensive. Its for sale though if someone wants to try it out
