As it says really, I have just made this little pipe from the rear flexible hose to the wheel cylinder. I have no instructions for the flare kit and its about 4yrs since I last used it, I struggled to remember what to do. Hopefully I managed OK... 1st end... ![](http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q112/insignificant_entity/1980%20Porsche%20924/DSC00252.jpg) ![](http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q112/insignificant_entity/1980%20Porsche%20924/DSC00253.jpg) 2nd end... ![](http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q112/insignificant_entity/1980%20Porsche%20924/DSC00254.jpg) ![](http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q112/insignificant_entity/1980%20Porsche%20924/DSC00255.jpg) To make... (The hole in the trailing arm looked placed for the pipe to go through but I routed underneith it in the same way as the one being replaced) ![](http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q112/insignificant_entity/1980%20Porsche%20924/DSC00256.jpg) Oh and I have taken the wheel cylinder off because the bleed nipple sheared so any ideas on that too? or do I have to get a new one now? ![](http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q112/insignificant_entity/1980%20Porsche%20924/DSC00262.jpg) Theres nowt like making a seemingly simple task hard is there. Cheers, Steve

Yeah they don't look too bad, but the proof is once they are fitted, obviously.
I say that as i did my Beetle ones, and one of the ones that looked perfect leaked, where as one with a lopsided end didn't, it's a bit hit and miss i reckon.

been doing the exact same job today they look fine, just tighten it up slowly and it should bend to the exact shape being copper the cylinders look exactly ike the vw variant ones, which are also the same as a beetle, they are under a tenner each so if the bleed nipples bust probably not worth the hassle of drilling it out,and then buying anoher nipple

if you cant get bleed nipple out loosely mount wheel cylinder in the back plate and before oyu tighten the pipe fully turn the cylinder round so pipe is at the top and bleed it around the new pipe instead of the bleed nipple..

Cheers guys, much happier to fit the pipes up now.
Have looked up the wheel cylinder £13.40 exVat at GSF & 80p for a bleed nipple so not too bad but could have done without it breaking off.
Its for a 294 so yeah VW parts (the big clue was in the last pic I thought).

they don't look good.i think you've over crushed them, but they will prob not leak as they will mould slighty when tightened up. personaly i'd bin em and either try again, or buy a good flare tool
