Well just to drag this up, I have welded a cover piece over the front area that was a bit of a mess.
I have now pulled it apart and thrown some filler at the front headstock/main tube area to smooth it all out.
Once that is done I will chuck some paint at it, and something grippy to the foot plate.
I will definately bring this to RR09 gathering so we can all have some other mod fun!
I might bring the WOGO too, mainly because I will be coming in the modern (civic) so I feel i really need to bring something old.
On that note I might bring my 80's Hitatchi getoblaster, and mount it to the wogo bike rack, for some mobile retro tunes!

Here are some pics of where I am at. Just need a bit more filler on the headstock bit, some more primer and then make a choice on paint. Should be looking good in time for the gathering. I also have a 3hp briggs engine that i have been tempted to thow at it. The engine is not a propper runner. Its hard to start (well not really got it going at all yet). We shall see. Lewis

Right I threw some paint at the scooter today I went for red and white. Can't beat an Italian Red! Plus I am partial to the Honda White White at the front Red at the back mmmm nice colour I had planned to scallop the white just at the front, but i decided I liked the white so much, I decided to paint the whole front white and blend it to the red on the foot plate. This is after two coats. I will wet and dry it in a few days once the paint is propper hard, and put two more coats at it. I might try and pinstripe something on the front tube, or where the logo should go, but I have never done it before, so i might cheat and print one out and transfer it on Just need to get the brasso out and polish the wheels, forks, stem and handle bars Lewis

Well the scoot is finished!!! Reassembly I had to scrape the decals off. Easy I thought, but ooooo nooo, they were as good as tattoed onto the forks! petrol and some scrapers and about an hour had them gone! rear wheel, and I moved the brake to the rear for skiddy action! Note the pads are not fitted properly Some more shots of it all together The little fella is generally chuffed, although I have been riding it as much as he does All ready for RRG09! Lewis

100 cool points Lewis.
Always great to see kids reaction to the stuff we turn out for them.

I just had an idea, as you've left the bottom bracket on and the freewheel's still on the rear wheel, how's about sticking some cranks on so you have pedal power?

Thanks Grizz, as I say, it was for us.... urm.... I mean him!
The Ran - I am tempted to try and motorise it at some point, but I couldn't put pedal back on, the main crank bearings are shot completely, hence the chop!
Some power at some point is the next step.

get another bb off a bike from the tip or something equally easy, that would be fairly hillarious to try and ride/conquer

some of those small bikes use a smaller than usual bb.
If its got a standard size BB for a one peice crank. Then Halfords might still have the BMX BB set for £1. Was that price when I got a few last year. It comprises the 2 cups, 2 cones, a couple of big washers and the big nut and the bearings.

I looked at Halfords and at a propper cycle shop and none of the sizes matched.
If it is going to be powered, it has to be petrol powwwwaaaaaahhhhhhh.
