Leaving dirt bikes I fancied the road bike I'd always wanted and I bought this wrecked NC30 on ebay 300 miles away. It had been crashed, left in shed, rescued by a prospective buyer who crashed it on test run (maybe due to the lack of brakes and bent forks?? )
A complete rebuild and sprayed to look like my mk1 golf driver and she was ready
However a couple of weeks of painful commuting coupled with too few mindless thrashes and I had to accept that when it was good it was great but for 95% of of the time it was a pain. so I swapped it for a bit of an oddity....
A gas gas pampera MK2
A cracking bike and well suited to my ability, size and needs - having ridden/raced enduro for years - I'll admit I was overbiked most of the time.
However the Pampera plastics were 'unique' and well battered so I sourced some bits from a CR that looked closest to fitting.
Some modified bracketry and stanley knife work and she looks like this
Could do with a better front end with a brake instead of the joke that's fitted as standard.
I'm happy with it for now....
